The Most Beautiful Thing

March 5, 2022March 5, 2022 ~ wordancerblog ~ 4 Comments

I know that when Deborah tells me that I will love a book, I need to take her seriously.  In the nineteen years I’ve known her, she has never steered me wrong.  She has a unique gift for being able to match books to readers.

Requesting the book to share with the grands! Love your poem that honors your grandfather. Maybe I’ll use some poetry in my memory posts this year.

I’m so glad you commented on my slice so I’d click your name and read this slice of yours. You are a master at book talking a book. Giving just enough to make me want to read it. But then you allowed me to meet your grandfather. I love how you describe him by sharing all that his hands did. I’ve gathered photos of my daughter’s grandparents and great-grandparents to place in am album for them to remember. You’re inspiring me to add a poem to help the photos come alive. Thank you. I think I may use this book and your poem as a mentor text.
