Summer’s End

September 10, 2023 ~ wordancerblog ~ 4 Comments

You described rolling thunderstorms perfectly in your poem. And I will look for those moments of joy special to each season. Thank you for great imagery. 🙂

Your description of the back to back to back storms that have rolled through the Northeast this summer surely is accurate, Yesterday, I was caught in a downpour that over-flooded drainage areas and led to flooding in 5 minutes. I did smile thinking, thankfully, that it is still summer!

Summer is fleeting. While I detest the high temps, I love the slower pace. (I detest the early-morning wakeups of the school year. Nowadays, sleeping to 7 is a luxury.)

There’s nothing like a good storm to bring the hygge feels of comfort that can only be known against the raging storm.
