Your post makes me think about all the hands-on learning opportunities my middle schoolers are missing. Back in the day, we had offered lots of different electives: drama, speech, wood shop, metals, cooking. Today we only offer a few. How can we ask kiddos to wait until high school to find their passions?

thank you for your persuasive & personal meditation on growth & humanity. It’s been one of my favorite parts of SOL22, actually–recognizing the struggle, the growth, the possibility I still have for change & wisdom. Thank you for capturing it with such passion & poetry!
