Spring Mosaic

April 2, 2021April 5, 2021 ~ wordancerblog ~ 6 Comments

We have traveled the long dark cold tunnel of winter and made it into the light! This year that journey is especially sweet.  My confirmation of spring came this week at school where first and second graders have been busy writing poetry.

So full of spring joy! The children’s poems are absolute delights, as are those photos. Your spring mosaic of images is lovely – I see every one through your eyes, sensing your gratitude and quiet celebration, much as Earth does itself, being reborn. “My spirit is restored”- indeed; this is a perfect line!

The visual images transported me to hearing and seeing… I loved the skunk cabbage and that you used the word ears… This is pretty special. I’m sending to my daughter so they could work on some of these very simple poems… this was wonderful. Thank you and many blessings of this season to you. XO

“The earth is renewed . . . My spirit is restored.” I feel the same way every spring. Your student poems are marvelous. I especially like the way Hayden noticed the rain sounds and made them rhyme! And his title is perfect. I’m requesting the spring books to enjoy with the grand boys. Thanks for sharing!

I love seeing the work you do with children. It is inspiring. I’m also considering the Hello/Goodbye format. It is inspiring, too.
